Michele Williams
Michele attended several programs in the U.K and U.S including The Webber Douglas Academy, The Mime Centre London and full-time training at NCSA ( North Carolina School of the Arts), member of the New York League of Actor Training Programs, including the Yale and Juliard schools of drama.
Trained as a classical actor, Michele worked with a mentor from the Moscow State Stanislavski Theatre. She also spent a year with The Florida Studio Theatre, which is dedicated to producing new American plays.
After returning to Australia in the late Eighties, Michele played various roles and has worked for; Her Majesty’s Theatre Sydney, The Lyric Theatre Brisbane, and La Mama, Universal, Playbox, Malthouse and Anthill in Melbourne.
Recent theatre credits include Flame by Joanna Murray Smith, Still by Jane Bodie and the central role in Rona Munro’s Bold Girls.
She has played guest roles on most Australian TV series including Janus, MDA, The BBC co-production of Kangaroo Palace and many different incarnations on Blue Heelers, Neighbours and Stingers.
She has produced many independent Theatre productions that have attracted funding from philanthropic and government organisations.
For Winterfall Michele has appeared as Deborah in A Kind of Alaska and Liubov in The Cherry Orchard.
Michele is co-founder of Winterfall.
